Fave Snack: Pineapple 🍍

Fave thing to do on the weekend: Hanging out with my partner, going for a drive, having a picnic, hiking, exploring cozy towns, or just hanging out in the fresh air.

Why STRONGROOM?  After teaching Pilates for many years, I noticed a lack of strength training, I mean there was a little, but not very much. Pilates is amazing, but I thought there was more we could do. That’s when the idea for STRONGROOM hit me—a studio where Pilates and strength training join forces, giving you the best of both worlds.

Seeing incredible people feeling a bit daunted by the gym was the turning point. Let’s face it, gyms can seem a bit overwhelming. With my amazing team, we aimed to build a studio where anyone, regardless of background or experience, could come and feel empowered, confident, and prepared to embrace their journey toward getting stronger.

At STRONGROOM, it’s not just about the workouts; it’s about building a supportive vibe where everyone can ace their Pilates sessions and feel empowered to lift weights. It’s not your typical gym setup; it’s a welcoming space where you can be yourself and grow stronger, inside and out.

STRONGROOM isn’t just a studio—it’s a place where laughter fills the workouts, where strength goes beyond the physical, and where everyone’s journey is celebrated.

Fave Snack: Chocolate

Fave thing to do on the weekend: Sleep in and have coffee in bed with my husband and dogs in a big snuggle puddle. Workouts with hubby, cook with hubby, annoy hubby, basically glue myself to hubby like a koala.

Why did you get into Fitness? I joined the fitness industry as a personal trainer and strength coach first and then added to my repertoire with reformer Pilates a year later.

I got into the fitness industry after being diagnosed with both Ehlers Danlos Syndrome and Spondyloepiphyseal Displasia in order to increase representation in the industry of people with chronic illness. After many years of searching for effective training and treatment and often coming up empty handed, I decided to delve deep into research, study, and anatomy to help myself as well as others.

I’m passionate about building strength and resilience in the body safely and while considering the whole person and front of me.

Fave Snack: Oats, yoghurt honey & berries

Fave thing to do on the weekend: Get out for fresh air and (hopefully) sunshine, for walkies with my partner and my pooch Lola!

Why did you get into Pilates?: For me, movement is a non negotiable. I’ve always loved moving my body however it did firstly feel like a chore and something I’d punish myself for. I know so many have experienced this. Fast forward to the present – post training/courses learning about the body and the incredible things our bodies are capable of, and just how impactful movement is; I’m very much a movement/fitness/exercise (whatever you want to call it) nerd in the best ways. Movement is truly is an amazing source for both our minds and bodies.
I’m so honoured I get to facilitate this and guide others to be and feel welcome, nurtured and supported through movement and shown that the body is incredibly strong and adaptable.
